Low Cost Pet Care

Animal shelter staff is committed to helping not just Garland residents, but anyone seeking to improve the lives of their animals. With today’s low cost options, it is easier and less costly to maintain your pets’ health.

The Animal shelter does not offer veterinarian or sterilization services to the public. Animals adopted from us are scheduled for sterilization at our shelter if that was not able to be done prior to adoption. Please view the options below for low cost vaccine clinics and spay/neuter resources.

Vaccination Clinics are hosted with Operation Kindness at our shelter the first Sunday of each month.

We are hosting a FREE Vaccine Clinic in collaboration with Operation Kindness at our shelter! This is the pawfect opportunity to safeguard your furry friends' health and well-being. This clinic is exclusively for City of Garland residents, so mark your calendars and don't miss out!

Reasons to Have Your Pet Spayed or Neutered

  • It will help keep your pet healthy.
  • It will stop the birth of unwanted litters.
  • It will help stop the waste of tax dollars every year on abandoned pets that don’t find a home and end up being euthanized.
  • It will help control the number of unwanted animals that become strays.
  • Spaying or neutering your pet is an easy solution that can help to stop the cycle of uncontrolled breeding that produces so many unwanted animals.
